Self-balance multistage pump's installation steps

  • Installation of the self-balance multistage pump

 

The installation steps of the self-balance multistage pump generally include placing the pump on the foundation to find the level and the pipeline connecting the pump.

 

In addition to the general installation requirements, pay attention to the following two points when installing this type of pump:

 

a) A gap of 3 to 5 mm must be ensured between the motor coupling and the pump coupling.

 

b) The axis line of the motor and self-balance multistage pump must be a straight line in the same plane. The feeler gauge can be used to measure the uniformity of the gap between the end faces of the two couplings. In all directions of the circumference, the difference between the maximum and minimum gaps must not exceed 0.05mm. The difference between the upper and lower sides or the left and right of the center line of the two end faces does not exceed 0.05mm.

  • Equipment required for self-balance multistage pump installation

 

Pump installation requires the following conventional and special equipment and tools:

a) Lifting equipment with suitable and safe load capacity.

b) A steel shim or wedge must be provided at each anchor bolt for leveling the base.

a) The grouting material must be non-shrinking grouting material. A wooden box is required for grouting, and a funnel is required.

d) In order to install and remove the packing, a set of special tools are needed, such as a clamp with hooks.
