There are many types of pumps, and the types are complicated.

Generally, they can be divided into three types according to the working principle:

1. Vane pump (1) Centrifugal pump (2) Axial pump and mixed flow pump (3) Vortex pump (4) Shield pump

2. Positive displacement pump (1) Reciprocating pump (2) Rotary pump (3) Metering pump

3. Other non-mechanical energy conversion pump

(1) Jet pump

(2) The lifter is divided into pressure:

Low pressure pump: Pressure <2MPa

Medium pressure pump : Pressure in 2~6MPa

High-pressure pump: pressure>6MPa

With the development of modern industry and agriculture, the pump has great changes in performance and structure. In order to meet the requirements of users, pump flow, indenter, temperature, medium, etc. The range is large.

Such as: 1) flow range: giant pump hundreds of thousands of m3 ∕ h; micro pump tens of milliliters ∕ 2) head range: from atmospheric pressure - 10000 bar, that is 1000 MPa; 3) medium temperature: from -200 ~ +800 °C; 4) Properties of the medium: acidic, alkaline, viscous liquid, mud, oil, chemical liquid, suspended liquid, etc. Pumps are used in a wide range of applications, and wherever liquids are transported, pumps are indispensable. For example: urban water, sewage, industrial, sewage, power plants, additional navigation, mining, especially coal mining, as well as underwater construction, agricultural irrigation.

There are also many places where pumps are used in nuclear power plants. Three types of pumps, various circulation systems, direct discharge, safety injection, chemical capacity and sprinkler systems are equipped with various types of pumps as power.
