Multistage pump flow control adjustment method

15 Jun 2019Email

The multi-stage pump flow control adjustment method has three methods of adjusting the plunger or piston stroke, adjusting stroke and pump speed, and the method of adjusting the stroke is the most widely used. The method of change is simple and reliable.

There are three types of stroke adjustment methods:

1. Manual adjustment when parking: manually adjust the stroke of the multi-stage pump when parking.

2. Manual adjustment during operation: change the axial displacement during pump operation to change the radius of the crank in a simple manner to achieve the purpose of adjusting the stroke length. Commonly used methods include N-shaped crankshaft adjustment, L-shaped crankshaft adjustment, and eccentric cam adjustment.

3. Automatic adjustment during operation: there are two kinds of pneumatic control and electric control. Pneumatic control achieves the purpose of automatically adjusting the stroke by changing the pressure signal of the air source; the electric control achieves the purpose of automatically adjusting the stroke by changing the electrical signal.

The multi-stage pump can realize the two-dimensional adjustment of the output flow of the metering pump by adjusting the stroke length and the reciprocating frequency under the condition that the metering medium and the working pressure are determined. The length of the inlet stroke and the reciprocating frequency can be used as the adjustment variables. However, in engineering applications, the stroke length is generally regarded as a coarse adjustment variable, and the reciprocating frequency is a fine adjustment variable: adjusting the stroke length to a certain value, and then finely adjusting by changing its frequency. Increase the flexibility of metering pump adjustment. In relatively simple applications, the stroke length can also be set manually, using only the stroke frequency as a manipulated variable, simplifying system configuration.
