Vibration

27 Apr 2018Email

Vibration is an important indicator to evaluate the reliability of the pump unit. Exceeding the standard vibration can cause vibration of the motor and pipeline, forming vibration noise, causing loose connection of the pipe fittings and valves, damage to the motor and motor bearings, and even a serious brewing machine. The tragedy of ruining people.

Common causes and solutions for vibrations in pump operation:

1. Concentricity: The difference between the pump and the motor shaft is an important cause of vibration. Concentricity should be adjusted, preferably using professional tool adjustments such as dial gauges.

2. Gas: There is gas in the pump chamber or pipe. Exhaust the air through the pump exhaust valve and the end of the pipeline, check whether the connection bolts on the sealing surfaces of the water pump and the inlet pipe are loose, whether the gasket is damaged, and whether the pump body and piping system parts are damaged.

3. The support is unstable. Loose pump bases or anchor bolts are common causes of vibration. The bolts must be tightened to avoid looseness.

4. The shaft is bent or the impeller is unbalanced. The impeller friction or the flow passage blockage causes vibration. The impeller balance should be adjusted and the shaft bent to replace the pump shaft.

5. The bearing runs outside the circle. The bearing housing is worn, and the bearing runs out of the eccentric vibration. In this case, only the bearing housing can be replaced, and the bearing is useless.
