Pipe connection during diesel pump

25 Jun 2019Email

After the diesel engine water pump suction and delivery pipe (as far as possible) are connected, the joint surface between the centrifugal water pump and the pipeline should ensure good air tightness, especially the water inlet pipeline, which must be strictly guaranteed not to leak water. There should be no possibility of air in the device.

Note: The diesel pump suction pipe should be installed separately for each centrifugal water pump, and the single-stage diesel pump pipe should be as short as possible and the number of elbows should be small to avoid sudden turning. The elbow and connecting pipe should be 90° or more. Sleek, and not too close to the centrifugal pump population; the installation of the single-stage diesel water pump suction horizontal section pipeline should be slightly downward in the direction of the water flow to prevent the gas, preferably using a tapered eccentric reducer.

Note: When installing the diesel pump line, especially the inlet pipe, the pipe slag, rust and dirt should be removed. The inlet and outlet pipes of the centrifugal water pump shall be fixed by brackets. The flange of the pump shall not be broken by excessive tension, and the vibration of the single-stage diesel water pump caused by the vibration of the pump pipe shall be avoided. Flexible joints should be installed on the inlet and outlet lines of the pump to reduce the effects of line stress on the pump and reduce vibration transfer between the pump and the pipe.
