Operating point
The pump operating point refers to the actual water output Q, head H, shaft power N, efficiency n, etc. when centrifugal pump is running. Putting these values on the head curve, power curve and efficiency curve becomes a specific point. It is called the operating point of the pump.
The pump operating point reflects the instantaneous working condition of the pump.
In addition to the capacity of the pump itself, the specific location of the pump operating point depends on other factors. There are two aspects to determining the pump operating point:
1. The inherent working capacity of the pump.
2. The working environment of the pump. For example, the operating conditions of all sewage pump products when transporting sewage are calculated based on clean water, that is, the arrangement of the piping system of the water pump, and the boundary conditions of the water level of the pool or water tower.
