How to make self-priming pump flow rate and head stable

20 Jun 2019Email

1. The bottom valve is installed in the suction port of the suction pipe of the self-priming pump, and the bottom valve cannot be sucked up normally. It is recommended to use a suitable bottom valve.

2. Since the inlet pipe is too long to exceed the self-priming capacity of the self-priming pump, if the pipe in which the inlet pipe is submerged in the water is more than 1 m, it is recommended to shorten the pipe length in the water to reduce the self-priming distance.

3. The self-priming pump has not sucked up the water, so there is no water at the end of the outlet pipe. Some users understand the situation as the reason that the head of the self-priming pump can not reach, so the ball valve and pressure gauge should be installed at the outlet of the self-priming pump. The pressure gauge should be installed between the pump outlet and the ball valve to facilitate observation of the outlet pressure and determine if the water is sucked up.

4. Self-priming pump selection error The actual working condition is too high, the head of the self-priming pump can not meet the actual working conditions, this self-priming pump head can not reach the solution can only replace the high-lift self-priming pump.

5. The liquid conveyed contains debris particles. Because the pipeline or the pump body is blocked, the lift of the self-priming pump is not reached. It is recommended to use a self-priming sewage pump for conveying sewage.

6. The liquid delivered is corrosive. The impeller of the self-priming pump encounters serious corrosion. It is recommended to use corrosion-resistant self-priming pump products such as stainless steel self-priming pump or fluoroplastic self-priming pump, or self-priming pump impeller after long time. It is recommended to replace the new self-priming pump impeller with the gap between the worn impeller and the pump cover being too large for the lift of the self-priming pump.

7. The self-priming pump head purchased by the user is wrong with the self-matching motor. For example, the actual motor of 2900r/min is required and the user is equipped with a motor of 1450r/min.

Flow stabilization method: The first time the self-priming pump is used, it must be filled with the pump body as the irrigation water. The suction pipe should be absolutely sealed. The flow instability is normal when starting the start-up because it is stable after the exhaust air is exhausted.
