How to judge the fault of the centrifugal oil pump
How to judge the fault of the centrifugal oil pump
Centrifugal oil pump is a kind of pump commonly used in chemical pumps. If your medium is oil, you can choose this kind of water pump for delivery, or you can choose gear oil pump. So how to judge if the centrifugal oil pump has a failure, the failure of the centrifugal oil pump will inevitably affect the smooth progress of the oil transportation operation. Therefore, we must master the basic method of analyzing the failure, quickly determine the cause of the failure and eliminate the failure.
There are two types of failures:
One is the mechanical failure of the oil pump itself, and the other is the failure of the oil pump and piping system. The oil pump cannot work independently from the pipeline. Although the failure of the pipeline system is not the failure of the oil pump itself, it can be reflected from the pump. This aspect of the failure should be comprehensively analyzed.
The method of judging the failure of the oil pump is as follows:
The basic method to judge the failure of the oil pump is to observe the changes in the readings of the pressure gauge and the vacuum gauge when the oil pump is working. According to the changes in the readings of the two meters, it is possible to understand whether the oil pump has malfunctioned, but also to grasp the essence and eliminate the malfunction accurately and in time.
This is because:
P table ≈ pg (h row height + h exhaust loss) P true ≈ pg (h suction high + h suction loss)
During work, if the discharge height does not change, but the pressure gauge reading changes, it indicates that the pipeline resistance (h discharge height) has changed. The change of resistance (h suction height) indicates whether the pipeline is blocked and whether the flow rate changes. If the suction height has not changed during the work, but the vacuum degree has changed greatly, you can also know whether the oil pump is working normally.
It can be seen that in order to use the instrument to judge the failure of the oil pump, we must first understand the readings of the pressure gauge and vacuum gauge when the oil pump is working normally. Only by knowing that it is normal can we distinguish abnormal. In addition, methods such as the sound and the changes in the reading of the ammeter can help judge the fault. There are many reasons for the failure of the centrifugal oil pump, which can be summed up in four aspects: air in the centrifugal oil pump, blockage of the suction pipe, blockage of the discharge pipe, and rupture of the discharge pipe. It can also be summarized as "gas, blocking, cracking".
