1.Fault Handling
If any fault is found during the operation of the split-case double-suction pump, never allow it to continue working**. If the shaft packing of the split-case double-suction pump is completely worn, it should be replenished in a timely manner. Continuous use of the split-case double-suction pump will cause air leakage, which directly leads to an increase in motor energy consumption and damage to the impeller.
2.Vibration Issue Handling
If strong vibration occurs when starting the split-case double-suction pump during use, it is necessary to stop the pump immediately to check the cause. Otherwise, it will also cause damage to the split-case double-suction pump.
3.Mishandling of Bottom Valve Leakage
When the bottom valve of the split-case double-suction pump leaks, some people fill the inlet pipe of the split-case double-suction pump with dry soil and flush the valve end with water. This method is indeed not advisable. When the pump is running, dry soil will enter the pump through the intake pipe in the middle section of the activated split-case double-suction pump, thereby damaging the impeller and bearings of the split-case double-suction pump and shortening its service life. The leaking bottom valve must be repaired. If the situation is very serious, it must be replaced.
4.Post-Use Maintenance
After using the split-case double-suction pump, maintenance must be paid attention to. For example, after use, water should be poured into the split-case double-suction pump for cleaning. It is best to remove the water pipe first and then flush it with water.
5.Belt Maintenance
The belt of the double-suction water pump should also be unfastened, then rinsed with water, and dried in a well-lit place. Do not place the belt in a dark and damp place. The belt of the split-case double-suction pump must not be contaminated with oil, and no oil should be applied to the belt.
6.Impeller Inspection and Maintenance
Carefully check whether the impeller has cracks and whether the fixing between the impeller and the bearing is loose. If there are cracks or looseness, timely maintenance is required. The impeller of the split-case double-suction pump should also be cleaned of any dirt.
7.Interface Sealing Requirements
When connecting the split-case double-suction pump to the pipeline, good sealing must be ensured, as foreign matter entering the interior of the split-case double-suction pump will cause damage.
8.Bearing Maintenance Focus
Inspection of the bearings of the activated split-case double-suction pump is also a key point. After use, check whether the bearings are worn. If the double-suction pump works for a long time, the balls in the bearings may break. Therefore, after using the split-case double-suction pump, it is best to apply a layer of lubricating oil to the bearings to better protect them.
