Electrode
A component of an electronic or electrical device or device that serves as the two ends of an input or output current in a conductive medium (solid, gas, vacuum, or electrolyte solution), which is called electrode.
One pole of the input current is called the anode or the positive pole, and the other pole of the output current is called the cathode or the negative pole.
There are various types of electrodes, such as cathode, anode, welding electrode, furnace electrode, etc.
In a battery, the electrode is generally the place where the REDOX reaction takes place with the electrolyte solution.
The electrode has positive and negative cent, general positive pole cathode, gain electron, produce reductive reaction, negative pole is anode, lose electron to produce oxidation reaction.
An electrode can be metallic or nonmetallic and becomes an electrode as long as it can exchange electrons with an electrolyte solution.
