Causes and treatment methods for excessive power consumption of centrifugal pump
The reason why the centrifugal pump consumes too much power:
(1) The matching of the pump is unreasonable. The pressure and displacement of the modified pump or the replaced pump are higher than the original pump, and the power of the motor is too small;
(2) The pump outlet valve is too large, the pump pressure is too low, the pump displacement exceeds the value specified on the nameplate, and the deviation from the working point is too much;
(3) the packing is pressed too tightly;
(4) The power supply voltage is too low and the current exceeds the rated value;
(5) The motor or pump is seriously different and the vibration is severe;
(6) The rotor and stator components in the pump are seriously rubbed;
(7) The motor rotor is turbulent, the position is not correct, and the journal step and the bearing end face or the coupling and the oil seal cover are ground;
(8) The coupling buffer damping rubber ring is too tight, and the pump front pushes the motor coupling and the bearing cover to wear;
(9) The pump balance plate is not opened, serious grinding occurs, and the balance return pipe is hot;
(10) The radial clearance of the pressure relief sleeve or the balance disc is too small, the deflection is too large, and the operation is worn;
(11) When the pump starts, there is a serious internal fault, such as the mouth ring, the bushing falling off or the matching clearance is too small;
(12) The pump shaft is too rigid and deformed.
The centrifugal pump can consume too much power in three ways:
(1) According to the situation on the spot, take corresponding measures in time to deal with:
1 Get in touch with the power supply unit and adjust the power supply voltage to within the specified range;
2 Adjust the opening degree of the outlet valve so that it runs at the normal working point;
3 Properly control pump pressure and displacement to reduce motor running current;
4 Adjust the tightness of the packing gland.
(2) If the above measures cannot be eliminated, the pump should be stopped for inspection:
1 Re-vent, drain the air inside the pump;
2 Check and adjust the lubrication line pressure, repair or replace the bearing bush;
3 Replace the coupling damping rubber ring;
4 repair or replace the balance plate;
5 Carry out the three-guarantee operation and repair and replace the damaged parts;
6 cooperate with the professional team to deal with motor faults.
(3) Advice and suggestions for improving the mismatch of pump units by the superior production management department and design unit:
1 replace the motor;
2 Impeller reduction or cutting impeller.
