Causes and solutions of corrosion-resistant submerged pump failure
Causes and solutions of corrosion-resistant submerged pump failure
The stainless steel submerged pump is a tool that relies on atmospheric pressure to raise the water level. It mainly relies on the movement of the piston during work. The piston has a great influence on the use of such products. Stainless steel submerged pumps can be divided into centrifugal pumps, axial flow pumps, mixed flow pumps, screw pumps and so on. As its user base continues to increase, businesses should pay more attention to the analysis and improvement of such product failures. Next, the causes and troubleshooting methods of corrosion-resistant submerged pumps will be introduced.
1. Failure of stainless steel submerged pump: slow pump water supply
Reason: The gap between the front lining plate and the impeller is large, and the water outlet pipe cannot seal the air and the air is full.
Remedy: adjust the gap, adjust the water outlet pipe, install a vacuum device.
2. Failure of stainless steel submerged pump: low water pressure and low flow
Reasons: There is air in the pump, the gap between the impeller and the front lining is large, the clutch is not tightly closed, and the impeller or the lining is worn.
Remedy: evacuate the pump gas, adjust the gap, adjust the clutch friction plate gap, replace the impeller or liner.
3. Failure of the stainless steel submerged pump: the pump wears fast
Reasons: Poor construction environment (large particles), long transmission distance, and long water inlet pipeline.
Remedy: replace the sand field, add afterburner units, shorten the length of the inlet pipe to reduce cavitation.
4. Failure of stainless steel submerged pump: vibration of pump
Cause: The pump shaft is not concentric with the diesel engine (or motor), the impeller is unbalanced, and the bearing is damaged.
Remedy: adjust concentricity, balance test by impeller, replace bearing.
5. Failure of stainless steel submerged pump: the pump does not absorb water
Reasons: Insufficient water for priming, the air in the pump cannot be discharged, the suction pipe leaks, and the gap between the front lining and the impeller is large.
Remedy: Continue pouring water, check the pipeline for air leaks, and adjust the gap between the impeller and the front lining.
6. Stainless steel submerged pump failure: impeller journal wears quickly
Cause: The high-pressure pump has a low head, the packing is misaligned, and the pump shaft is not concentric with the back cover.
Remedy: replace the high-pressure pump higher than the head of the corrosion-resistant submerged pump, replace the packing, and adjust the concentricity.
