Backwash pump start, run, stop operation

07 Jan 2021Email

A. Before start the backwash pump

   1. Preparations before starting

   (1) Check the circuit system, whether the power supply voltage is normal, and whether the backwashing process is reversed

   (2) Check whether the motor, wiring, and screws are loose. If there is any looseness, they should be tightened.

  (3) Check whether the motor and pump are concentric, and whether the clearance of the coupling meets the requirements. And turn the coupling by hand to check whether it rotates flexibly, and listen for noise in the backwash pump.

  (4) Check the tightness of the packing and whether the pressure gauge is intact

  (5) Open the inlet valve and discharge the gas in the pump

  (6) Power on, and observe whether the power supply voltage meets the requirements, and set the control cabinet startup operation in the "automatic" state.

B. Start backwash pump

  (1) Put secondary backwash, check whether the filter inlet and backwash inlet and outlet butterfly valves can be converted normally

  (2) Check whether the secondary backwash pump can start normally and automatically, and check whether the current and the backwash pump pressure are positive

  (3) If the butterfly valve conversion is abnormal or the backwash pump cannot start automatically, you should check and analyze the cause immediately, and you should report to the cadre on duty if you cannot handle it.

C. Run backwash pump

monitor the temperature of the pump and the motor, do not exceed the specified temperature

  2. Listen to whether the sound of the backwash pump is normal.

   3. Check the packing leakage.

  4. Observe changes in pump pressure to ensure stable pressure and displacement.

  5. Observe the switching state and backwashing of the butterfly valve of the filter tank, and stop the pump in time if there is a problem

D. Stop backwash pump

   1. After the backwashing is completed, the filter inlet and backwashing inlet and outlet are normally switched, and the backwashing pump stops automatically.

  2. After the backwash is finished, the backwash pump cannot automatically stop after the normal conversion of the filter inlet and the backwash inlet and outlet butterfly valves, manually press the stop button to stop the pump 3. After the backwash is finished, close the pump outlet valve.
