Vertical condensate pump outline structure drawing and structural features

24 Apr 2021Email

The fixed part of the GNL vertical condensate pump is mainly composed of pump body, pump cover, support, sealing ring, sleeve bearing, bearing body and other parts. The pump body and the pump cover are separated along the axis line. The rotating part is mainly composed of impeller, shaft and sleeve. The axial force of the rotating part is borne by the ball bearing, and the radial force is borne by the ball bearing and the sleeve bearing located between the two impellers.

The bearing body is equipped with a cooling chamber, and cooling water can be connected when necessary.

The suction port and discharge port of the pump are both cast on the pump body, and their center lines are respectively located on two horizontal straight lines. The lower part of the pump body has a semicircular pump foot, and the upper part has a semicircular support. The support is mounted on it, and the motor is mounted on this support.

Structural features of vertical condensate pump:

  (1) Vertical installation of the pump body reduces the suction height of the pump. Improve the effective cavitation margin and improve the suction performance of the pump.

  (2) The first stage impeller adopts double-suction impeller, which reduces the necessary cavitation margin of the pump. The material is made of materials with good anti-cavitation performance to ensure that the cavitation margin is greater than the necessary cavitation margin.

  (3) There are deflectors on both sides of the first-stage double-suction impeller to make the population water flow of the first-stage impeller evenly distributed and reduce the possibility of inhalation.

  (4) The casing at the inlet of the first stage impeller is designed into a horn shape, which increases the diameter of the suction port and the width of the inlet of the first stage impeller blades, reduces the flow rate of the fluid in the impeller population, and reduces the necessary cavitation margin of the pump.

  (5) There is a water inlet pipe on the outer shell to drain and connect to the condenser, so as to pump out the air in the pumping water and prevent the pump from sucking in air. Before the pump is put into operation, it must be fully filled with water and drained. The valve also maintains a certain opening during normal operation.
