Types of drain pumps, uses of drain pumps
Drainage pump belongs to a series of centrifugal pumps. The purpose of the drainage pump is mainly used in the field of underground construction engineering to reduce the water level and keep the water level at a certain level.
For example, during underground mining, the water that seeps into the tunnel can be pumped to the ground. In open-pit mining, the underground water level is lowered through deep tunnels until the water in the mine is emptied and the bottom of the pit is dry. The drainage pump can be used to lower the groundwater level in the foundation pit of deep well mining.
The flow rate (Q) of the drainage pump is up to 900dm3/h, and the head (H) is as high as 1050m to meet the requirements of underground mining: the flow rate (Q) is up to 1800n//h. The head (H) is up to 100m to meet the requirements of open-pit mining. Technical measures can be taken to expand the limit value range.
When the head of the drainage pump exceeds 1,000m, multi-stage pumps with single-suction impellers or double-suction impellers arranged in a certain order face to face or back to back are used.
Because the sedimented groundwater usually contains solid matter and suspended matter (corrosive) and has a certain chemical corrosiveness. Therefore, an impeller and sleeve made of a wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant material with a large annular flow channel should be used .
There are submersible sewage pumps, submersible sewage pumps, or other types of submersible electric pumps. The horizontal and dry-mounted drainage pumps have no suction stroke in most cases and are driven by a mine explosion-proof motor. Vertical submersible electric pumps can bring many advantages to fully automatic precipitation equipment. The submerged motor is filled with water and is arranged under the water pump. It is completely immersed in the liquid. Only need to carry out explosion-proof treatment on the pipe connection.
In open-pit mining, set up a deep well tunnel with drainage pump on the slope of the foundation pit or arrange drainage pumps at the bottom of different wells according to the required level.
The underwater motor designed by drainage pump can be used in addition to low voltage. It can also be used in 3-6kV (in some cases, it can reach 10kV).
When dewatering and draining subways, bridges or underground projects, deep well tunnels with drainage pumps help prevent the collapse of the pit wall and ensure construction safety. A small submersible pump can be used to transport the seepage water containing dirt. The impeller can be designed according to the requirements of sewage transportation. The mechanical seal device prevents water from penetrating into the motor. When designing and determining the size of the motor cooling device, the drainage pump should ensure that the entire unit can work underwater.
