Alkaline pump is a commonly used pump in chemical production, because acid-base medium is an uncommon chemical raw material in chemical manufacturing, but due to its special acidity, many materials cannot be used as acid transfer materials. Commonly used cast iron and stainless steel materials cannot be used to transport acidic media. At present, the materials commonly used for transmission media are plastics or fluorine alloys.

1. The mechanical seal structure type of the alkali pump: The mechanical seal is mainly composed of moving ring, static ring spring, shaft sleeve, water seal, O-ring. In order to protect against acid, a washing machine seal is used, and the flushing water is taken away at the same time. The mechanical seal wets up during operation, which greatly extends the service life of the equipment.

2. The working principle of the mechanical seal of the alkali pump: The mechanical seal is sealed by two sealing surfaces that are perpendicular to the shaft and rotate relatively. The two ends of the element are always close to each other to achieve the purpose of sealing.

3. Characteristics of the mechanical seal of the alkali pump:: The mechanical seal of the acid and alkali resistant pump uses the static ring cage to adjust the static ring and the moving ring to seal, and the radial seal is completed by the O-ring. It has strong elasticity and good sealing performance. , Reliable isolation and sealing.

   Fourth, the mechanical seal of the alkali pump is insufficient: the original mechanical seal is relatively perfect in design. Both the structure and the selection of materials are extremely scientific and advanced, and fully suitable for the normal working needs of the acid pump. However, when abnormal conditions such as excessive acid impurity iron oxide particles and cooling interruption occur during the operation of the equipment, the original mechanical seal will be severely damaged and fail. From the actual use of the original mechanical seal, when a large amount of particulate medium iron oxide accumulates in the acid, the main sealing ring and the static ring of the mechanical seal will wear out quickly, especially the right-angled outer edge of the static ring will appear zigzag Damage, leading to mechanical seal failure. When the coolant is interrupted during normal pump operation, the static support ring and gasket of the main seal will be squeezed and deformed by the back of the static ring due to the temperature rise, causing the mechanical seal to fail.

 

   Cautions for the use of mechanical seals of alkaline pumps

  1. General mechanical seals are suitable for clean media without suspended hard particles (if there are particles, please inform in advance when ordering the contract. For newly installed pipelines and liquid storage tanks, they should be carefully flushed to prevent impurities from entering the sealing end surface and causing the seal to fail.

  2. In the crystallization medium, pay attention to frequent flushing. Before restarting, the crystallization of the sealing end surface should be flushed.

   3. When disassembling the mechanical seal, be careful not to knock with iron or other objects to avoid damaging the sealing surface of the static and dynamic rings.

  4. If the mechanical seal cannot be removed by force after long-term use, do not force it. You should try to remove the dirt before removing it to keep the original intact.

  5. Before installing the mechanical seal, check the damage of the sealing surface of the dynamic and static rings strictly. There should be no slight scratches, broken edges and defects. When installing, the end faces of the moving and static rings are carefully wiped with a clean soft cloth and cotton yarn, and then coated with a layer of clean grease or oil. Feel that the compression force of the elastic clarinet should be adjusted to maintain the sealing effect
