Steps and parameters to be determined in the selection of horizontal pipeline pumps
The horizontal pipeline pump adopts the performance parameters of the domestic general centrifugal pump. It is a new generation of energy-saving and environmentally friendly horizontal single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump developed by itself. The pump has excellent performance, high reliability, long life, reasonable structure, and beautiful appearance. Industry leading level. The selection basis of the horizontal pipeline pump should determine the parameter factors such as the water supply purpose, the process material, and the flow head.
The horizontal pipeline pump you need may be used for building tap water pressurization, or it may be used for industrial field pressurization. The centrifugal pump is selected for the pipeline booster pump in the construction field (the pipeline pump is also a kind of centrifugal pump): the industrial field should be selected according to the actual situation. If the pressure is large but the flow is small, you can choose a gear pump or a pressure test pump, paste Diaphragm pumps need to be selected for body transportation, and centrifugal pumps are still used for other purposes, such as transporting flowing liquids or cooling water. For the selection of centrifugal pipeline pumps with a wide range of uses, they are all common process steps. details as follows:
1. Clarify the current water supply situation on site
If it is industrial water supply, regardless of the municipal water supply situation; if it is a residential building water supply, it is very important to first determine your on-site municipal water supply situation, because we need to know whether you are suitable for direct supply or use a pond to store water and then water again. Need to know the site conditions: the size of the municipal water supply pipe, the current water pressure value (the height of the floor to which the water can be pressed), whether the municipal water supply is stable, etc.
2. Determine the required maximum flow Q of the horizontal pipeline pump
Flow rate is the maximum unit quantity that needs to be transported per hour, generally ton/hour or liter/minute. When determining the flow, it is necessary to budget according to the largest possible maximum flow, otherwise the flow may not be enough. For industrial production pressurization, the user must provide the flow value, because there is no standard industrial flow calculation formula; generally experienced people of domestic water use can roughly estimate the hourly maximum water consumption. If you do not have any industry experience, you The best way to calculate the flow is to let us assist in the calculation, but we need to understand a few important parameters to determine the water equivalent: such as the number of households, the number of hotel rooms, the number of bathrooms, the number of toilets, the number of bath faucets, etc. After determining the corresponding amount of water, then according to the flow calculation formula Q{[corresponding nature of water consumption × corresponding nature of water equivalent] ÷ total time of water consumption} × hour change coefficient, we can calculate the maximum rated flow we need.
3. Determine the highest head or maximum pressure required by the horizontal pipeline pump
First of all, a clear concept is that the pump head and the pressure that the pump can generate can be converted into each other at a fixed rate. 1MPa=10kgf/cm? (10kg pressure often said)=10kg force/cm? (10kg pressure often said)=100m head. How much pressure is needed can be selected directly according to the corresponding head to produce the corresponding pressure flow is enough, and the head or pressure is not enough. For industrial water, the user must propose the required pressure value by himself, because no professional company can cover the industrial water pressure of the whole industry; while the water supply for residential buildings is different, it can be calculated according to the existing conditions provided by the user, we need Know the total height of the floor, the current floor height that the municipal water can reach, the total length of the pipe network and the number of right-angle elbows, etc. After confirming these conditions, we can accurately calculate the head. The general formula for calculating the lift of the pipeline pump is the total number of floors in H × the height of a single floor + the loss of 5 meters per 100 meters of horizontal pipes + the loss of 1 meter per 1 right-angle elbow, if it is direct water supply, the current height of the water pressure must be subtracted. For example, if you calculate a total head of 100 meters according to this formula, and the current water can reach a height of 20 meters, you only need to select a head of 80 meters for direct water supply.
4. Determine the type of horizontal pipeline pump
In some occasions, horizontal pumps may be better. For example, horizontal single-stage pumps are more commonly used in general industrial production. Horizontal pumps are generally small in height, with large flow, and relatively low lift. The water supply in the construction field is basically replaced by stainless steel vertical. The pump is mainly affected by parameters such as efficiency, sanitation and lift. For small flow and low head, choose horizontal single-stage or multi-stage stainless steel products. Vertical multistage centrifugal pumps are preferred for high-lift series products. Choose a vertical single-stage pipeline centrifugal pump with large flow and low lift. Of course, the determination of the pump type requires certain experience. The type of pump selected intuitively by inexperienced may not be the best.
5. Determine the material of the horizontal pipeline pump
There are generally three kinds of materials: cast iron, stainless steel (304/316/316L) and composite materials. In the general water supply field, you do not hesitate to choose 304 stainless steel, and the industrial production field should be based on actual conditions.
For demand selection, generally, cast iron pumps can be selected for clean water. If it is corrosive, stainless steel or other composite materials should be selected according to the corrosive nature.
Which type of product do you think is suitable for you? Use the maximum flow Q and maximum head H calculated in the above two or three steps to correspond to the rated flow and rated head of the product. Make sure to select the rated flow and rated head of the product, otherwise the water pressure will be insufficient when Gaofeng uses water. The selection of horizontal pipeline pumps often involves a lot of professional knowledge and industry experience. For experienced professionals, the selection is accurate and fast, and the general selection and quotation is a matter of minutes.
