Some problems that should be paid attention to when purchasing and using submersible pumps

Submersible pumps are divided into submersible pumps and self-priming pumps. The submersible pump is also called the water rat. The whole pump body is put into the water to operate; the self-priming pump takes over to the water layer to suck out the water. In modern rural production, submersible pumps are increasingly expected by growers due to their low price, small size, light weight, and convenient pumping and irrigation. However, different types of submersible pumps have different functions, power, suction range, flow, etc. Many farmer brothers often present large horse-drawn carts or small horse-drawn carts due to lack of professional guidance when purchasing. The situation directly caused production losses and cost wasted, and some safety accidents would occur, affecting the service life of submersible pumps. It can be seen that it is very important to purchase a safe submersible pump.

First of all, you must see the trademark and product quality certificate when purchasing
A standardized and qualified water pump is made according to ISO requirements, with long life and low energy consumption. When purchasing, go to the sales point recognized by the agricultural machinery part, identify the manufacturer, and see the trademark and product quality certificate. It is not possible to purchase three-non-products with no manufacturers, no production dates, and no production licenses, otherwise it will be difficult to deal with problems once they appear. New purchasers can first consult experts in water pumps, or directly consult some old users near their own applications, so that detours can be prevented.

Secondly, it is necessary to clarify the relationship between pump head and pump flow.
The pump lift is not equal to the lifting height. It is particularly important to know the pump. The lift of the water pump is approximately 1.15-1.20 times the lifting height. For example, the straight height from a certain water source to the place where the water is used is 20 meters, and the required lift is about 23 to 24 meters. Therefore, when selecting a water pump, the best head on the pump nameplate is close to the head required in practice, so that the pump has the highest power and is more economical to use. But it is not required that the head on the nameplate of the pump must be the same as the head required in practice. Usually, as long as the error does not exceed 20%, the pump can operate in a more energy-saving condition.
The head and flow rate of the submersible pump must also be exquisite. The high-lift pump is used for low-lift, it will show the appearance of excessive flow and motor overload. If the motor is operated for a long time, the temperature of the motor will rise, and the winding insulation layer will accelerate aging, and even burn the motor. If the pump lift is much smaller than the required practical lift, the user's hope is often not satisfied, and even if the water can be pumped, the water volume will be small. Therefore, it is generally not advisable to select too large a flow rate of the water pump, otherwise it will increase the cost of purchasing the pump. Specific problems should be analyzed in detail. For example, the flow rate of the self-priming water pump used by the user's own draft should be as small as possible; if it is a submersible pump used for irrigation, the flow rate should be selected appropriately.

Third, we must grasp the correct application method
Correct operation and application are important factors to extend the life of submersible pumps and reduce economic losses. Therefore, before starting the submersible pump, it is important to check whether the transformation condition of the pump shaft is normal and whether it is stuck; check whether the orientation of the impeller is normal; whether the cable and cable plug are cracked, scratched, or broken. Pay attention to investigating the change of voltage during operation, and it is usually controlled within ±5% of the extra voltage. In addition, the position of the submersible pump in the water is very important. It should be chosen as far as possible in a place with sufficient water volume, no silt, and good water quality. It should be suspended straight in the water; ponds with weeds should be protected with filters and fished early. Remove impurities and weeds to prevent blocking the net. Submersible pumps are not allowed to operate horizontally at the bottom of the pond to avoid falling into the mud or being blocked by suspended solids, which will cause the water output to drop sharply or even fail to pump water. Regarding the self-priming pump, it should be placed as far as possible in a ventilated and boring place for operation to facilitate rapid heat dissipation and reduce the motor temperature. When using a new self-priming pump, remove the maintenance plastic film covering the motor, or it will simply cause the motor to overheat and burn out the coil. In addition, before starting each time, you must check the amount of water in the pump body, otherwise it will affect the self-priming function and easily burn the shaft seal parts. Under normal conditions, the water pump should discharge water within 3 to 5 minutes after starting, otherwise, it should be shut down immediately for inspection.

Fourth, we need to maintain and check regularly, and avoid working with diseases.
Under normal conditions, the water pump should be repaired once every six months, and work with diseases should be avoided. Once the water pump is faulty, do not disassemble it yourself. It is best to repair it at an experienced and planned professional repair point, and replace the overdue parts and some vulnerable parts in time. When storing during non-use period, the pump should be lifted away from the water source in time, and the accumulated water in the pump should be drained, especially in the dry season or winter, should be placed in a dry place, and the key parts of the pump should be coated with butter, and the bearing should be added Lubricant to prevent corrosion of parts. The non-use period of the submersible pump is not as long as possible. If it is not used for a long time, it is easy to rust the parts and reduce the service life of the pump. Therefore, submersible pumps should be used reasonably throughout the year as far as possible.
