Horizontal pipeline centrifugal pump machine seal leaks

Water leakage of the horizontal pipeline pump machine seal will only occur at the place where the pump cover of the pipeline centrifugal pump is connected to the pump shaft. Depending on the degree of damage to the machine seal, the water leakage will be different. The more severe the damage, the greater the leakage flow. . Water leakage in the seal of a pipeline centrifugal pump is one of the common leaks, and many reasons are caused by the following:

1. The medium is more corrosive

Exceeding the tolerance range of the mechanical seal leads to corrosion of the mechanical seal sealing parts and leakage.

2. The conveying medium of the pipeline centrifugal pump contains hard solid particles

In the operation of the pipeline centrifugal pump, the moving ring and the static ring of the mechanical seal are always in a fitted state to ensure that the pipeline centrifugal pump does not leak, but if the solid particles in the medium containing more water enter between the moving ring and the static ring, it will cause The fit between the dynamic and static rings is not tight. On the other hand, hard particles will damage the smooth surfaces of the dynamic and static rings and make them rough, resulting in a leaky seal.

3. The pipeline centrifugal pump has not been operated for a long time

There is no necessary starting preparation before starting, such as manual cranking trial operation, etc., because the pipeline centrifugal pump is not running for a long time, which may cause microbes and mutual adhesion between the dynamic ring and the static ring of the mechanical seal after oxidation. At this time, if the pipeline centrifugal pump is started without any treatment, the mechanical seal structure may be damaged when the motor is running at high speed, and water leakage may occur.

4. Normal wear and tear

The mechanical seal is one of the vulnerable parts. As long as the pipeline centrifugal pump is running, the mechanical seal will always be worn, so it has a service life. Once it is worn to the point where the moving ring and the static ring can no longer fit completely, There will be a leak.

5. Machine-sealed dry burning

Running without liquid in the pipeline centrifugal pump will cause the mechanical seal to generate high temperature. Under normal circumstances, there will be no problem because there is water in the pipeline centrifugal pump to continuously lubricate and cool the mechanical seal, but if there is no liquid in the pipeline centrifugal pump In the case of running the machine seal can not be cooled, the temperature will continue to rise until burned.

6. Incorrect installation causes the mechanical seal to fail to function

Although there are so many reasons that can cause the mechanical seal to leak, the solution is very simple, just replace the damaged mechanical seal with a brand new one.

 

Water leakage occurs in the pump body or cover of the horizontal pipeline centrifugal pump

The water pumps are all castings before they are processed into finished products. Some defective castings will be eliminated during material selection and processing, but there will be a certain probability that there will be individual trachoma. It is not that the detection is not rigorous, but that these trachoma cannot Observed with the naked eye, and will not be exposed when running the test. It can only be manifested in a high-pressure environment. If there is a smaller trachoma and water leaks out, it can be repaired with an industrial repair agent. If the leakage is large and not leaking, you need to return to the factory to replace the pump body.

 

Horizontal pipeline centrifugal pump O-ring seal leaks

The probability of O-ring leakage is generally not large. Usually, the aging O-ring is not replaced with care in the maintenance and disassembly process of the pump, or there is a foreign body that interferes with the sealing environment of the O-ring during the installation process, or it may be The O-ring is pressed too tightly and breaks. In this case, you only need to replace a new O-ring and adjust the bolt tightness.

 

The pump body of the horizontal pipeline centrifugal pump is cracked and leaks water

The cracking of the pump body is particularly prominent in winter. During the Chinese New Year holiday, I can receive feedback on this kind of problem every day. The weather is cold in winter. If the temperature drops below zero, most of the liquid material will freeze, and it will freeze after freezing. The volume of the pump is several times that of the liquid state, so if the pump body is not emptied when the pump cavity is not running when it is relatively cold, it may be broken by the freezing medium. In addition, collisions may also occur during the installation of the pump at the construction site. If the collision force is large enough to damage the pump body and cause micro cracks, it is generally not easy to find under the condition of running without water, but the problem will become more and more obvious during normal use. These conditions cannot be repaired and a new pump body needs to be replaced.
