Several common methods for adjusting the outlet water flow of self-balancing horizontal multistage centrifugal pumps
There are many ways to adjust the water flow of self-balancing horizontal multi-stage centrifugal pumps, the more common ones are the following:
One is the variable flow regulation method
Adjust the flow rate by changing the opening degree of the gate valve on the outlet pipe of the self-balancing horizontal multistage centrifugal pump. Its advantage is that it can ensure the balance between the pump's output and the well's influx, and avoid the forced shutdown due to the suction of the pump's water pump being exposed to the surface of the water. The disadvantage is that it will cause the pump to vibrate and shorten the service life of the equipment. Therefore, it is generally not appropriate to adopt this method to adjust the flow rate.
The second is the speed adjustment method
Adjust the flow rate by reducing (raising) the speed of the water pump. Changing the speed of the water pump can change the performance of the water pump, thereby changing the operating point of the water pump. This method is called variable speed adjustment. The change of the pump speed can be achieved by replacing the pump pulley with different diameters or changing the speed of the power machine. It should be noted that the drop of the pump speed should not exceed 30% of the rated speed, and the increase should be controlled within 10% of the rated speed. In general, this method should be preferred.
The third is the variable diameter adjustment method
It is to reduce the outer diameter of the impeller appropriately to reduce the flow and head of the water pump. After the impeller is turned, the performance of the water pump will change according to a certain rule, so that the operating point of the water pump will change. We call the method of turning the impeller to change the working condition of the pump, which is called the variable diameter adjustment.
The fourth is the variable voltage adjustment method
It is the method of reducing the number of impeller stages for self-balancing multi-stage centrifugal pumps to reduce the flow and head of the pump, improve the efficiency of the device, and achieve the purpose of economic operation.
Fifth, the method of variable angle adjustment
Changing the installation angle of the blades can change the performance of the water pump, so as to achieve the purpose of changing the operating point of the water pump. This way of changing the operating point is called variable angle adjustment of the pump.
Sixth, throttling adjustment
For water pump devices with gate valves installed in the outlet pipeline, if the gate valve is closed for a small amount of time, local resistance is increased in the pipeline, and the pipeline characteristic curve becomes steep, and its operating point moves to the upper left along the Q-H curve of the pump. The smaller the gate valve is closed, the greater the increased resistance and the smaller the flow rate. This method of changing the operating point of the pump by closing the gate valve is called throttling adjustment or variable valve adjustment.
