Pump casing

19 Jun 2018Email

Centrifugal pump casing is the center of the pump structure, also called the volute or pump casing, and its type is also relatively large.

1, horizontal split
This type of pump casing is separated on a horizontal section through the axis. When the pump casing is disassembled, it is irrelevant to the suction and discharge pipes, and the maintenance is convenient.
 2, vertical split
This type of pump casing is divided on the vertical plane of the vertical axis, which is not easy to leak, but the inlet pipe must be dismantled during maintenance, so the maintenance is not as convenient as the horizontal split pump casing.
3, oblique split
This type of pump casing is sucked from the front end and discharged upwards. The pump casing is divided on the inclined surface passing through the shaft center. The suction and discharge pipes are not disassembled, only the upper half is disassembled, and the pump casing can be used for inspection.
4, cylinder type
This type of pump is made of a cylinder type. For a pump with a very high pressure, it is difficult to withstand the pressure of a single-layer pump body, so a double-layer pump body is used. The cylinder type pump casing can withstand high pressure, and the horizontally split or vertically split rotor is installed in the cylinder. In the fertilizer plant, the high pressure boiler feed pump is mostly a multi-stage centrifugal pump.

According to the support type of the pump casing, it can be divided into standard support type, center support type, cantilever type, pipeline type and suspension type.
1, standard support
This type of pump is generally horizontal with legs on both sides of the pump body and the feet are bolted to the base.
2, the center support
In this type of pump, the legs on the underside of the pump casing are mounted on the base to accommodate the effects of thermal expansion stress on the delivery of high temperature fluids.
3, cantilever
In this type of pump, the pump casing is integral and the assembly of the pump body and the suction cover is mounted on the bearing bracket. Compact structure and easy disassembly.
4, pipeline
This type of pump is coupled to the pipe as part of the pipe and supported by the pipe. During the inspection, the rotor and motor of the centrifugal pump can be repaired without removing the pump body connected to the pipeline.
5, hanging type
In this type of pump, the pump casing is mounted on the discharge pipe, and the pump casing is suspended from the suction container below the discharge pipe, and the pump casing is vertically split.
