Priming
The most reliable way of pump priming is self-irrigation. For frequent operation of water pump and suction pipe before water pump starts. Centrifugal pump work is based on the flow of water. Only when the water pump and the suction pipe are filled with water and then the water pump is started can the water be pumped. There are several ways to pump water, such as self-filling water, vacuum water diversion and bottomed valve irrigation.
Pump water diversion methods can be roughly divided into four categories. The first type is to use some or all of the water in the suction pipe to start the water pump. This type of method includes a bottom valve on the suction pipe, a water-type bottom valve, and a "duck-tube" bottomless valve water supply pipe. The second type is to connect the water storage container to the water suction pipe, and use the water storage and vacuum degree in the water storage container to start the water pump by water. The water tank and the closed water tank belong to this type of method. In the above two types of methods, the water suction pipe or the water storage container should be filled with water when the water pump is started for the first time. As long as there is no air leakage and the interval is not long, no additional irrigation is required before the pump is started again. The third type is the use of other equipment to create vacuum water diversion in the suction line. This method has a ejector or vacuum pump on the suction line. The fourth type of method relies on the pump's own water diversion function, such as the use of self-priming pumps.
