Precautions for selection of desuperheating water pump for steam boiler room:
①The seal of the drive shaft should be mechanical seal as far as possible, especially the steam boiler room desuperheating feed water pump. Although the use of packing seals is simple to maintain, the failure rate and maintenance rate are high, and the workload is large. Therefore, mechanical seals should be selected, and the service life should be greater than 8000.
②The boiler desuperheating water pump motor is the power source for the operation of the water pump. If the motor fails, the water pump cannot run. Therefore, the structure and insulation level of the motor should meet the requirements of the installation and use environment to ensure the safe operation of the motor.
③If the frequency conversion water supply is selected, the selected pump head should be slightly higher than the design value. Since the pump runs for 3 to 5 years, as the impeller wears and the gap expands, the head will drop by 20~30m, so the selected pump head should be about 30% higher than the design value to ensure that the pump can still supply water normally after many years. And the energy-saving effect of the frequency converter is good, thereby prolonging the service life of the water pump.
④When the water supply temperature is normal temperature, no special instructions are required when selecting it. If the water supply temperature is >100℃, the water supply temperature should be emphasized when selecting the water pump. This is because high temperature pumps and cryogenic pumps are different in material, structure and anti-cavitation function.
⑤When the highest position of the water pump inlet is lower than the liquid level of the water tank (or pool), no special instructions are needed when selecting. When the highest position of the inlet of the desuperheating water pump in the boiler room is higher than the liquid level of the water tank (or pool), a strong self-priming pump should be selected.
