Precautions for maintenance of horizontal multi-stage booster pump parts

When we use horizontal multi-stage booster pumps daily, we often pay little attention to the problems of horizontal multi-stage booster pump parts, and don’t know how to maintain and maintain it. 1. Maintenance of horizontal multi-stage booster pump parts

1. When the pump shaft is bent more than 0.05% of the original diameter, it should be corrected. The misalignment between the pump shaft and the shaft sleeve should not exceed 0.05mm, and the shaft sleeve should be replaced when it exceeds. When the water pump shaft is corroded or worn more than 2% of the original diameter, a new shaft should be replaced.

2. When the regular wear of the shaft sleeve exceeds 3% of the original diameter, and the irregular wear exceeds 2% of the original diameter, it needs to be replaced. At the same time, check the contact surface of the shaft and the shaft sleeve for water seepage marks, whether the paper pad between the shaft sleeve and the impeller is intact, and if it does not meet the requirements, it should be corrected or replaced.

3. If there are cracks, damage and corrosion on the impeller and blades, epoxy resin can be used to repair the lighter ones, and new impellers should be replaced for severe ones. If the connection between the impeller and the shaft is loose and water seepage, the connection key should be corrected or replaced. The shaking value of the impeller after the pump shaft is installed shall not exceed 0.05mm.

4. Check the seal ring for cracks and wear. The radial clearance of the impeller should not exceed the specified maximum allowable value. If it exceeds, it should be replaced with a new one. When replacing the sealing ring, the outer diameter of the impeller suction port should be turned. The principle is to be concentric with the shaft when turning. Then the inner diameter of the seal ring is sized according to the matching clearance value, and the axial clearance between the seal ring and the impeller is preferably between 3 and 5 mm.

5. The ball bearings and bearing caps must be cleaned. If the bearings are a bit corroded, cracked or have excessive clearance, they must be replaced in time. When replacing, the bearing grade shall not be lower than the original bearing grade, and the products of the regular bearing factory must be used. Before replacement, use a plug gauge to measure the clearance. Every time a large-scale water pump is overhauled, the scale and debris in the bearing cooling water jacket should be cleaned to ensure smooth water flow.

6. The stuffing box gland should move freely on the shaft or sleeve. The gap between the inner hole of the gland and the shaft or sleeve should be kept uniform, and the wear should not exceed 3%. If it exceeds, it needs to be embedded or renewed. The water seal pipeline should be kept unblocked.

7. The suction bottom valve should be overhauled, the action should be flexible, and the seal should be good. If a vacuum pump is used to divert water, it must be ensured that the suction pipe valve does not leak air, and the vacuum pump must be kept intact.

8. Check the working condition of the non-return valve, whether the sealing ring is sealed, whether the pin is worn too much, whether the buffer and other devices are effective, if damaged, it should be repaired or replaced in time. The water outlet control valve should be checked and replaced in time to prevent water leakage.

9. The pressure gauge and vacuum gauge on the water pump should be checked once a year by the measurement authority, and the pipelines and valves should be cleaned up.

 

2. Maintenance of horizontal multi-stage booster pump components during operation

1. Clean the rust in the pump casing. If there is a large pit, it should be repaired. After cleaning, repaint the anti-rust paint.

2. Regularly replace the lubricating grease in the bearing. For a new pump equipped with sliding bearings, the lubricating oil should be changed after running for about 100 hours, and the oil should be changed every 300 to -500 hours after operation, but the oil should be changed at least once every six months. The rolling bearing should be replenished with grease every 1200~1500h, but the oil should be changed at least once a year. The pump with lower speed can be extended appropriately.

3. If you do not continue to use it for a long time or in winter, drain the water in the pump and the water pipe to prevent rust or frost cracking.

4. Check whether the coupling connected with the motor is well connected, whether the key and the keyway are loose, and correct it in time.

5. After the drainage and irrigation season is over, a minor repair should be carried out, and a major repair should be carried out for a cumulative operation of about 2000h.

6. The maintenance of the motor should be carried out by professional electrician maintenance personnel, and those who do not understand electricity are prohibited

7. In case of a catastrophic situation, such as flooding the underground pump room, etc., the accumulated water should be removed in time, the motors and other electrical appliances should be cleaned and dried, and all electrical and mechanical facilities can be tested before they are in good condition.
