Mechanical seal of submersible pump

The mechanical seal of the submersible pump is also called the end face seal. It has a pair of end faces perpendicular to the axis of rotation. Under the action of fluid pressure and compensation of the mechanical external elastic force, the submersible pump relies on the auxiliary seal to keep fit with the other end. , And relatively slide to prevent fluid leakage. The mechanical seal of the submerged pump is a common cause of leakage of the submerged pump. The mechanical seal itself is a highly demanding precision component, which has high requirements on design, machining, and assembly quality. When using a submerged pump mechanical seal, various factors of the use of the mechanical seal should be analyzed to make the mechanical seal suitable for the technical requirements and use medium requirements of various submersible pumps and have sufficient lubrication conditions, so as to ensure the long-term and reliable seal Running.

There are still unreasonable places in the design, selection and installation of the mechanical seal of the submerged pump.

(1) The spring compression of the submersible pump must be carried out in accordance with the regulations. It is not allowed to be too large or too small. The error is ±2mm. The compression is too large to increase the specific pressure of the end surface, and the frictional heat is too much, causing the sealing surface of the submersible pump Thermal deformation and accelerated end face wear, if the amount of compression is too small, the end face specific pressure of the static and dynamic ring is insufficient, and the seal cannot be sealed.

(2) The end face of the shaft (or sleeve) where the submersible pump's dynamic ring seal ring is installed and the end face of the seal gland (or housing) where the static ring seal ring is installed should be chamfered and trimmed to avoid damage to the dynamic and static rings during assembly. Seal ring. The mechanical seal of the submerged pump itself is a demanding precision component, which has high requirements on design, machining, and assembly quality. When using mechanical seals, various factors of the mechanical seal used by the submersible pump should be analyzed, so that the mechanical seal of the submersible pump is suitable for the technical requirements of various submersible pumps and the requirements of the medium used and sufficient lubrication conditions can be ensured. The lower pump seal runs reliably for a long time.
