Magnetic coupling

31 Jul 2018Email

Magnetic coupling is a non-contact coupling, which generally consists of two magnets inside and outside. The two magnets are separated by an isolation cover, the inner magnet is connected with the driven member, and the outer magnet is connected with the power member. In addition to the function of buffer coupling vibration absorption of the flexible coupling, the magnetic transmission coupling has the biggest feature that it breaks the structure of the traditional coupling and adopts a new magnetic coupling principle to realize the failure between the driving shaft and the driven shaft. Direct contact enables force and torque transfer, and the dynamic seal can be sealed into a static seal for zero leakage. Therefore, it is widely used in applications where there are special requirements for leakage.

One of the successful applications of magnetic drive couplings is their combination with pumps – magnetic pumps. In the past, it was chosen as a valuable special product, and now it has a wide application field. Most of the liquids in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, film, electroplating, nuclear power and other industries are corrosive, flammable, explosive, toxic, expensive, leakage of working fluids and environmental pollution; vacuum, semiconductor industry to prevent outside gas Invasion; diet, biology, and medicine must ensure the purity and hygiene of the medium. Magnetic drive couplings have found a place in these areas, and magnetic pumps are a big market for magnetic materials.

The magnetic transmission coupling, especially the permanent magnet coupling, is applied to the valve, the valve stem does not pass through the valve cover, and the stuffing box is omitted, and the name is a fully enclosed non-filled permanent magnet transmission valve. Because the valve has no stuffing box, it can run safely and reliably for a long time; there is no friction torque between the valve stem and the packing, and the rotation is labor-saving; no negative gas enters the negative pressure operation. All industrial valves such as globe valves, gate valves, ball valves, disc valves, etc. can be converted into fully enclosed valves. The reactor is a mixed reaction equipment widely used in chemical plants. The stirring of the liquid is often carried out under pressure. The reactants have a certain temperature and corrosiveness and volatility. Therefore, the sealing of the rotating shaft becomes an important problem of the reactor. The reaction equipment with a stirrer uses a magnetic drive, which avoids oxidation and condensation of the medium in addition to absolute sealing.
