How to improve the efficiency of self-balancing multistage pumps

31 May 2019Email

Set self-balancing multistage pump diversion facilities: In order to improve the inflow and outflow state and reduce hydraulic loss, the necessary diversion facilities can be set according to the specific conditions. For example, the lateral inflow pre-pool can be provided with a diversion pier to improve the flow regime.

Remove the dirt from the pool in time: When the floating objects such as weeds entering the pool are sucked into the pump body, the efficiency of the self-balancing multistage pump will be reduced, and even the blades will be crushed.

Set the trash rack well to clear the dirt in time to make the water flow smooth, which can improve the efficiency of the pump station. The pumping station is generally equipped with a trash rack before entering the pool to prevent weeds and debris from entering the self-balancing multistage pump to ensure the safe operation of the self-balancing multistage pump. The sludge in the pool will change the flow pattern of the inlet water and affect the efficiency of the pump. The Hongli water pump proposes timely dredging to make the water flow smooth and the flow state uniform, which can improve the efficiency of the pumping station.

Unreasonable shape and size of the inlet and outlet pools: improper design and size of the pumping stations, such as the front pool and the inlet and outlet pools, result in vortex and reflow in the pool. It has an adverse effect on the operation of the self-balancing multistage pump. When the front pool is running at a low water level, surface vortexes appear in the pool. The flow pattern in the front pool also deteriorates as the number of units turned on increases. The number of start-ups also has an effect on the operating conditions of the self-balancing multi-stage pump as the pumping flow rate. Before each self-balancing multi-stage pump is operated separately, the efficiency of the self-balancing multi-stage pump at the head end of the front pool is higher than that of the end. As the number of starting units increases, the efficiency of each self-balancing multi-stage pump decreases. The head-end self-balancing multi-stage pump has a large drop, and the end self-balancing multi-stage pump has a small drop. At this time, the adverse effects can be eliminated by adding a diversion wall and a bottom sill. Generally, the height of the bottom ridge is preferably 0.3 to 0.375 (for the depth of the front pool). For the front inlet tank, if the diffusion angle is too large, the length of the front pool may be extended or the front pool may be changed into a line shape or a curved shape.
