How to clean split case pump parts
The overhaul of the double-suction pump also includes the cleaning of the parts. Next, let's take a look at how the cleaning and inspection of each part needs to be done:
1. Clean the impeller and impeller ring and check the cavitation, crack and wear of the impeller blades. The cavitation must be replaced. If you can continue to use it, you don't have to remove it from the shaft, because it is difficult to disassemble under normal circumstances. If it is not necessary to remove it, it must be disassembled with special tools and heated while disassembling.
2. Clean the pump shaft of the double suction pump, repair the thread and keyway, and check the wear of the pump shaft.
3. Clean the shaft sleeves on both sides of the pump, and measure the size of the machine seal. Use the hexagonal wrench to loosen the seal ring of the machine seal and remove the static ring and spring seat. The static and dynamic rings should be free of defects such as wear and cracks, otherwise the springs should be cleaned. The elasticity should be good without plastic deformation and rust. The machine seal bushings have no wear and groove marks. Replace the machine seal “O” rubber ring and bushing rubber ring.
4. Use kerosene to soak and clean the rolling bearing. There should be no defects such as abrasion, corrosion, and ball bearing rupture; if the bearing is rotated by hand, the bearing rotation should be flexible, no abnormal sound and vibration, otherwise the bearing should be replaced.
5. Clean and inspect the wheel and flat key. There is no wear, aging or crack on the rubber ring of the wheel, otherwise it will be replaced.
6. Clean the seal ring on both sides of the pump and the spacer sleeve (the packing sleeve), the bearing chamber, the cooling water pipe and the air pump.
7. Clean the pump casing joint surface, cooling water tank, seal ring groove, and mechanical seal chamber.
8. Clean all the screws in the double suction pump and repair the damaged thread buckle; repair the parts and other defects such as scratches and grooves.
