Horizontal stainless steel pump balance plate balance device clearance diagram

Horizontal stainless steel pump flat plate: Utilizing the change of axial clearance, it can automatically adjust the amount of water passing and completely balance the axial force. The axial clearance is generally 0.1~0.2mm during normal operation, but the rotor is required to have axial movement, and the balance disc is a wearing part.

  1. The horizontal stainless steel pump balance plate device diagram has two gaps as shown below, one is the gap b1 formed by the balance sleeve and the outer circle of the shaft sleeve, and the other is the axial gap b2 formed by the inner end surface of the balance plate, the balance behind the balance plate The chamber communicates with the pump suction port. The pressure before the radial gap is the pressure P3 of the pump chamber behind the impeller, which drops to p4 through the radial gap b1, and then drops to p5 through the axial gap b2, and the pressure behind the balance plate is p6, because the balance chamber behind the balance plate passes The connection between the balance water pipe and the pump suction port p6 is equal to the pressure at the suction port of the multi-stage pump plus the pipe resistance loss of the balance water pipe. Since the pressure p4 in front of the balance disc is much greater than the pressure p6 in the back, the pressure difference produces a balancing force E on the balance disc to balance the axial force A acting on the rotor.

  1. When the pump is just started, due to the axial force, the pump rotor will move to the left. At this time, because p4 has not yet formed the balance plate, instant grinding will occur, but soon p4 will form and push the balance plate away, but Due to the inertia, the balance plate will not stop at the balance position immediately, and can only stop after moving forward a little by inertia. This stop position has exceeded the balance position, and the rotor will move back. It can be seen that the working process of the balance plate is in the process of motion balance, and the balance is temporary and relative.

  1. The multi-stage pump balance disc device currently in use has been verified by many years of production. Therefore, there is no problem with the design of the balance disc. If the balance disc device fails, we need to find the cause from other aspects.
