General installation requirements for petrochemical pumps

Petrochemical pumps are pumps used in petrochemical processes. Because these substances in petrochemical industries are combustibles, and these substances have relatively high requirements for temperature and pressure, petrochemical pumps are more than other types of pumps. advanced. For example: ZA, ZAK, ZAG petrochemical process pumps are very typical petrochemical pumps.

 

As all flammable materials are transported, the petrochemical process pump must use a reliable shaft seal and a leak-free pump. If the transported material is relatively corrosive, it is also necessary to use corrosion-resistant materials. If the material to be transported contains solid particles, the wear resistance of the wetted parts of the petrochemical pump must be good, and even the shaft seal needs to be flushed with a clean liquid. Let's take a look at the specific installation requirements.

 

Petrochemical process pump installation:

The assembly sequence of the petrochemical pump can basically be carried out in the opposite direction of the disassembly sequence, but when assembling, pay attention to check whether the gaskets on each sealing surface are intact, and be careful not to miss the gaskets and replace the incomplete ones.

1. Check the pump and motor after unpacking. If it is confirmed that there is no damage caused by loading, unloading and transportation and the fasteners are loosened, the inlet and outlet end caps of the pump are intact, and no dust, dirt, etc. enter the pump. It is no more than disassembling, cleaning and assembling, and sending it directly to the site for installation.

2. It must be ensured that the pump does not exceed its allowable cavitation allowance when working. The suction height (or backflow height) of the pump must be determined according to the pump's cavitation margin characteristics, pipeline resistance loss characteristics and the suction surface pressure of high-temperature water.

In the case of pump suction, a bottom valve should be installed on the suction pipe, and a filling screw hole or valve should be set on the outlet pipe for filling the pump before starting.

When the pump is used for backfilling, a valve and filter should be installed on the suction line to prevent debris from entering.

3. The suction and discharge pipelines should have separate supports, and pumps should not be used for support.

4. The place where the pump is installed should be convenient for patrol inspection and maintenance. For the newly installed suction pipeline and discharge pipeline, the debris should be cleaned up before they can be connected with the pump to form a circulation pipeline.

5. Installation sequence

(1) Place the unit on a foundation buried with anchor bolts, and place a pair of wedges between the foundation and the foundation for alignment purposes.

(2) Loosen the coupling. Put a spirit level on the outer circle of the pump shaft or pump coupling, adjust the wedge pad to correct the level of the unit, and properly tighten the anchor bolts to prevent it from moving.

(3) Fill the base and anchor bolt holes with concrete.

(4) After drying with concrete, the anchor bolts should be tightened and the level of the pump shaft should be rechecked.

(5) After connecting the pipeline and determining the direction of rotation of the prime mover, connect the coupling, check the concentricity of the shaft again, and measure the outer circle of the coupling. The difference between left and right should not exceed 0.1mm. The gap between the end face of the device shall not exceed 0.3mm between the maximum and minimum gaps within a week.

(6) The final inspection shall be done after the actual operation of the unit for 3 to 4 hours. If there is no defect, the installation is deemed qualified.

 

Petrochemical process pump installation requirements one: anti-corrosion measures

1. Because petrochemical pumps mainly transport petrochemical and other substances, some of which are relatively corrosive, so when installing petrochemical pumps, anti-corrosion must be adopted.
Measures.

2. If the petrochemical pump is installed outdoors, it is also necessary to consider whether the petrochemical pump will appear cold and brittle. At this time, materials with better low temperature resistance must be selected.

 

Petrochemical process pump installation requirements 2: explosion-proof measures

Due to the particularity of petrochemical pumps, it is very likely to be used in flammable and explosive areas. Because the explosion area is graded, it must be used in areas with higher explosive levels.
Use explosion-proof motors. For petrochemical pumps, regular inspections are necessary.

1. For factories requiring a major overhaul every year, the continuous operation period of the pump should generally not be less than 8000h. In order to meet the requirement of overhaul every three years, API 610 (10th edition) stipulates that the continuous operation period of pumps for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries is at least 3 years.

2. The design life of petrochemical pumps is generally at least 10 years. API 610 (10th edition) stipulates that the design life of centrifugal pumps for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries is at least 20 years.

3. The design, manufacture and inspection of petrochemical pumps should comply with relevant standards and specifications.

4. The pump factory should guarantee the performance of the pump within the range of power supply voltage and frequency. The range of power supply voltage and frequency in my country is: voltage 380V±10%, 6000V±10%; frequency 50Hz±1Hz.
