Gear pump
A gear pump is a rotary pump that relies on the change and movement of the working volume formed between the pump cylinder and the meshing gear to deliver or pressurize the liquid. The two gears, the pump body and the front and rear covers form two closed spaces. When the gear rotates, the volume of the space on the disengagement side of the gear increases from small to large, forming a vacuum, sucking the liquid, and the volume of the space on the gear meshing side changes from large to large. Small, and the liquid is squeezed into the pipeline. The suction chamber and the discharge chamber are separated by the meshing lines of the two gears. The pressure at the discharge port of the gear pump is completely dependent on the resistance at the pump outlet.
Advantages: simple and compact structure, small size, light weight, good processability, low price, strong self-suction, insensitivity to oil pollution, large speed range, impact resistance load, convenient maintenance and reliable operation.
Disadvantages: radial force imbalance, large flow artery, high noise, low efficiency, poor interchangeability of parts, difficult to repair after wear, can not be used for variable pumps.
