Installation method of single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump
The installation and calibration of a single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump are crucial for its operation and service life. Therefore, the installation and calibration must be carried out carefully.
Installation and Calibration of Single-stage Single-suction Centrifugal Pump
- Clean the grease and dirt on the base and place it on the foundation.
- Use a level to check the levelness of the base. Wedges can be used for leveling, and a level should be used for checking. The allowable levelness deviation is not more than 0.1mm/m.
- Pour cement into the base and anchor bolt holes.
- After the cement is dry, check whether the base and anchor bolt holes are loose. Tighten the anchor bolts after appropriate adjustments and recheck the levelness.
- Clean the supporting surfaces on the base, pump feet, and motor feet, and install the pump and motor on the base.
- The couplings should maintain a certain gap, and the centerline of the centrifugal pump shaft and the motor shaft should be checked for consistency. Thin shims can be used for adjustment to ensure concentricity.
Measure the upper and lower positions of the two couplings on the outer circle of the pump and the motor with a caliper. The measurement tolerance should not exceed 0.1mm. The maximum and minimum clearance differences between the end faces of the two couplings should not exceed 0.3mm in a week.
- Installation of flushing water pipeline for centrifugal pump. For the installation of the pipeline device for axial sealing (packing seal or mechanical seal) of the centrifugal pump, refer to Table 3.9-1 and Table 3.9-2.
- Installation of pressure gauge. If the pressure gauge is installed on the pump body of the centrifugal pump, first remove the threads on the inlet and outlet flanges of the pump body, install the pressure gauge joint on the threaded hole of the flange, and then install the pressure gauge on the joint. At this time, the valve on the joint should be closed.
- Installation of cooling water. For single-stage single-suction centrifugal pumps such as IR, IRG, and FN with cooling chambers, a cooling water system is required. During installation, first remove the two threads on the cooling chamber cover, connect the cooling water inlet and outlet pipes to the two threaded holes, and before starting the pump, turn on the cooling water system to fill the cooling chamber with water.
Installation Instructions for Single-stage Single-suction Centrifugal Pump
- The pipeline of the centrifugal pump should have its own support, and the weight of the pipeline should not be added to the pump to avoid damaging the pump.
- If a check valve is installed on the discharge pipeline, the check valve should be installed on the outside of the gate valve (away from the pump unit side).
