Intelligent Building and Heat Pump Technology

In the past ten years, especially in the past five years, the ground source heat pump air conditioning system has achieved rapid development in North America such as the United States, Canada, and central and northern Europe such as Switzerland, Sweden and other countries, and its products and technologies have been quite mature. In 1998, the US Department of Energy issued regulations requiring the promotion and application of soil source heat pump air conditioning systems in buildings of federal government agencies across the country. In order to show support for this new energy-saving and environmentally friendly new technology, US President Bush also installed this ground source heat pump air conditioning system in his Texas mansion. The Canadian government has also introduced a government subsidy of 25% of the project cost for public buildings that use soil-source ground-source heat pump air-conditioning systems in its country.

 

In China the significance of ground source heat pump air conditioning technology to building energy conservation has been highly recognized and developed rapidly. Cold (hot) water supply technology is listed as the first item in the second category of building energy-saving technologies (2003014). Because of its irreplaceable advantages such as high efficiency and energy saving, environmental protection and no pollution, stable system operation, a wide range of applications for one machine, and mature product technology, it will definitely become a green air-conditioning system in the true sense of the 21st century.
