How to choose the pump model and specification

   Water pump is an indispensable life tool for every family. Although most people do not realize this, it is true. Many people are not very clear about water pumps. Here is a brief introduction to the classification and model specifications of the water pump.

   1. According to the working principle and structure of the pump:

  Vane pumps, positive displacement pumps (and other types of pumps) such as: jet pumps, air lift pumps, electromagnetic pumps, vacuum pumps, etc.

  Vane pumps such as centrifugal pumps, vortex pumps, mixed flow pumps, axial flow pumps, screw pumps, etc.

   Positive displacement pumps such as reciprocating pumps and rotor pumps

   Reciprocating pump: electric pump, steam pump

   Electric pump: plunger (piston) pump, diaphragm pump, metering pump

   Rotor pumps: gear pumps, screw pumps, roots pumps, sliding vane pumps, etc.

  2. According to the medium:

  Clean water pumps, sewage (dirt) pumps, oil pumps, corrosion-resistant pumps, fluorine-lined pumps, sewage pumps, drum pumps, etc.;

  3. From the use of installation methods:

   Pipeline pumps, submersible pumps, magnetic pumps, etc.

  After determining the flow meter and design head of the pump station, you can use the relevant technical charts to determine the pump model and specifications, the method is as follows:

   A. Use the pump performance specification table to select the pump type

The pump factory provides this kind of table in the product catalog. There are three rows of data for the performance of each model in the table. Which one is the most accurate? The general design flow and design head should be the same as the value listed in the middle row of the performance table. The same, or close to each other, and must fall within the range of the upper and lower rows, because this range is the high-efficiency area for pump operation. This type of pump is considered to meet actual needs, and the pump is selected. .

   B. Use the pump selection table to select the pump type

According to the determined design head and design flow, in the selection table, the horizontal meter head finds the head value that is consistent with or close to the design head; then the vertical meter head finds the flow value that is consistent or close to the design flow , Intersect horizontally and horizontally in a small square, it marks the model of the water pump, and the multi-stage pump type is preliminarily selected. But sometimes it appears that both pump types meet the design requirements. At this time, the two pump types can be compared for technical and economic analysis, and then one of the appropriate pump types can be selected. This method of selecting a water pump is relatively simple and fast.

   C. Use the pump performance comprehensive spectrum to select the pump type

The working areas of centrifugal pumps, axial flow pumps, chemical pumps, and mixed flow pumps are all comprehensively drawn on the same map, which constitutes a comprehensive spectrum of agricultural water pump series. The drawing is more complicated, but it is more convenient to use. For design flow and design head, on the type spectrum, first find out several pumps that meet the requirements of head with the design head on the ordinate, but with different flow rates, and then use the design flow on the abscissa to determine which one to choose Water pump. If a single pump fails to meet the requirements when the design flow is large, multi-machine operation can be considered, but it should be noted that pumps of the same model should be used as much as possible to facilitate construction, installation, management and maintenance.
