Working principle of drainage pump
How does the drainage pump work? What is the working principle of the drain pump? As everyone knows, the drain pump is used to discharge the liquid in the sump or large liquid storage tank. However, many consumers do not have a clear understanding of the working principle of the drainage pump, for you to better use the drainage pump products.
The working principle of the drainage pump is: relying on the impeller rotating with high remonstrance, the liquid gains energy under the action of inertial centrifugal force to increase the pressure. Before the pump works, the pump body and the inlet pipe must be filled with water to prevent cavitation. When the impeller rotates quickly, the blades prompt the water to spin quickly, and the rotating water flies away from the impeller under the action of centrifugal force. After the water in the pump is thrown out, the central part of the impeller forms a vacuum area. The water from the water source is pressed into the water inlet pipe through the pipe network under the action of atmospheric pressure (or water pressure. In this way, continuous water pumping can be realized. It is worth mentioning that the pump casing must be filled before the centrifugal pump is started. It can be started only after water, otherwise it will cause the pump body to heat up, vibrate, reduce the water output, and cause damage to the pump (referred to as "cavitation") causing an equipment accident. The so-called cavitation refers to: if there is air in the pump when the centrifugal pump is started, Because the density of air is very low, the centrifugal force generated after rotation is very small, so the low pressure formed in the center of the impeller is not enough to suck the liquid whose liquid level is lower than the pump inlet into the pump, and it is a phenomenon that the fluid cannot be transported.
Drain pumps are basically multi-stage pumps. Like the backwash pump of Qinshan Power Plant, it is also a drain pump. Before running this pump, it must be turned manually to prevent the rubber bearing inside from being brought out during operation. After the air is released, it can be operated after the shaft seal is filled with water, otherwise the rubber bearing will be burned quickly if there is no water.
