Starting process of marine centrifugal pump
When the marine centrifugal pump starts up, the current is large, so it needs to be closed. Since the centrifugal pump does not have self-priming ability, it needs to take measures such as water diversion during startup. The starting steps are summarized as follows:
(1) Check the valve on the pipeline before starting, so that the suction valve is opened, the discharge valve is closed (closed start), and the bypass valve is closed.
(2) Check the oil sight glass of the marine seawater centrifugal pump. The lubricating oil level should be at 1/3-12 of the liquid level mirror and observe the quality of the lubricating oil.
(3) Before starting the centrifugal pump, press the normal steering of the pump to check the pump.
(4) If the position of the marine seawater pump is high and the liquid level of the liquid suction is lower than the position of the pump, the pump needs to be diverted, and the method of water diversion is determined according to the actual situation.
(5) Check the control box to turn on the power to start the centrifugal pump, observe whether the centrifugal pump is turning correctly, and whether there is any abnormality.
(6) Start the centrifugal pump. When the ammeter pointer is stable, slowly open the removal valve and start draining.
(7) The opening of the discharge valve should be timely. If the time is too long (more than 3 minutes), the water temperature will rise and cavitation damage will occur.
(8) The discharge of the liquid can be judged by the rotation of the pointer of the pressure gauge (draining down) and the ammeter (increased draining).
