Pipeline centrifugal pump selection should be like this
First clarify a concept. Generally speaking, the pipeline centrifugal pump or pipeline pump is a general concept, and does not refer to a certain model or a certain type of product alone. The pipeline pump you need may be used for building tap water pressurization , It may also be used for pressurization in the industrial field. The centrifugal pump should be selected as the booster pump in the construction field (the pipeline pump is also a kind of centrifugal pump); the industrial field should be selected according to the actual situation. If the pressure is large but the flow is small, you can choose a gear pump or a pressure test pump, paste body Diaphragm pumps are used for transportation, and centrifugal pumps are still used for other purposes, such as transportation of flowing liquids or cooling water. The selection of centrifugal pipeline pumps for a wide range of uses is a common process. details as follows:
1. Clarify the current water supply situation on site
If it is an industrial water supply, it does not matter the municipal water supply; if it is a residential building water supply, it is very important to first determine your on-site municipal water supply, because we need to know whether you are suitable for direct supply or use a pond to store water and then water again. Need to know the site conditions: the size of the municipal water supply pipe, the current water pressure value (the height of the floor to which the water can press), whether the municipal water supply is stable, etc.
2. Determine the maximum flow rate Q required by the pipeline centrifugal pump
Flow rate is the maximum unit quantity that needs to be transported per hour, generally ton/hour or liter/minute. When determining the flow, budget according to the maximum possible maximum flow, otherwise there may be insufficient flow. For industrial production pressurization, the user must provide the flow value, because there is no standard industrial flow calculation formula; generally experienced people can estimate the hourly maximum water consumption if you don’t have any industry experience. The best way to calculate the flow rate is to let us assist in the calculation, but we need to understand several important parameters to determine the water equivalent: such as the number of households, the number of hotel rooms, the amount of toilets, the amount of toilets, the number of bath faucets, etc. After determining the corresponding amount of water, then according to the flow calculation formula Q={[corresponding nature of water consumption × corresponding nature of water equivalent] ÷ total time of water consumption} × hour change coefficient, we can calculate the maximum rated flow we need.
Three, determine the highest head or maximum pressure required by the pipeline centrifugal pump
First of all, a clear concept is that the pump head and the pressure that the pump can generate can be converted to each other at a fixed rate. 1Pa=10kgf/cm? (10kg pressure often said)=10kg force/cm? (10kg pressure often said)=100m head. How much pressure is needed can be selected directly according to the corresponding head to generate the corresponding pressure.
The flow is enough, and the head or pressure is not enough. For industrial water, the user must propose the required pressure value by himself, because no professional company can cover the industrial water pressure of the entire industry; while the water supply for residential buildings is different, it can be calculated according to the existing conditions provided by the user. We need Know the total floor height, the current floor height that the municipal water can reach, the total length of the pipe network and the number of right-angle elbows. After confirming these conditions, we can accurately calculate the head. The general formula for calculating the lift of the pipeline pump is H=total number of floors×single floor height + 5 meters per 100 meters of horizontal pipe loss + 1 meter loss per right-angle elbow, if it is direct water supply, subtract the current water pressure to the height . For example, if you calculate a total head of 100 meters according to this formula, and the current water can reach a height of 20 meters, you only need to select a head of 80 meters for direct water supply.
Fourth, determine the type of pipeline centrifugal pump selection
In some occasions, horizontal pumps may be better. For example, horizontal single-stage pumps are more commonly used in general industrial production. Horizontal pumps are generally small in height, with large flow, and relatively low head;
At present, the water supply in the construction field is basically replaced by stainless steel vertical pumps, mainly due to the influence of parameters such as efficiency, sanitation and head.
For small flow and low head, choose horizontal single-stage or multi-stage stainless steel products.
Vertical multistage centrifugal pumps are preferred for high-lift series products.
Choose a vertical single-stage pipeline centrifugal pump with large flow and low lift.
Of course, it takes certain experience to determine the type of pump. Inexperienced and intuitively selected pump type may not be the best
5. Determine the material of the pipeline centrifugal pump
There are generally three kinds of materials: cast iron, stainless steel (304/316/316L) and composite materials. Generally, you can choose 304 stainless steel without hesitation in the field of water supply. In the field of industrial production, you should choose according to actual needs. Generally, you can choose a cast iron pump for clean water. If it is corrosive, choose stainless steel or other composite materials according to the corrosive nature.
Six, enter the product center to choose
For the specific product which type of product do you think is suitable for you, use the maximum flow Q and maximum head H calculated in the above two or three steps to correspond to the rated flow and rated head of the product. Note that the rated flow and rated head of the product must be selected, otherwise the water pressure will be insufficient during peak water consumption
Model selection often involves a lot of professional knowledge and industry experience. For experienced professionals, the selection is accurate and fast. Generally, the selection and quotation is a matter of minutes
