A hot water pump is a centrifugal pump for conveying hot water. Can be used in a variety of working conditions, thermal power plants, industrial circulating water production and so on.
Generally, the sealing of hot water pumps is very demanding. Therefore, the choice of sealing performance is very important.

 

1. Sealing materials


First, the material of the sealing surface is to be used in combination with graphite and solid SIC, and the surface is not suitable for plating.
Today, research has produced a novel material that injects graphite into SCI. This material has good thermal conductivity and is favored by most designers. Secondly, the sealing material has elastic properties, such as: -[CH2-CH(CH3CH2CH3)]-n, which not only has good elasticity, And the maximum temperature it can withstand is 140 degrees Celsius. When using this material, it should be noted that it is not allowed to apply lubricating substances such as petroleum on its surface, because such substances will cause damage to [CH2-CH(CH3CH2CH3)]-n. If the temperature can withstand higher, then you can use substances such as perfluoroether rubber. In general, it is best to use cooled water for sealing, which can increase the life of the sealing surface; finally, the best choice for metal fittings should be 316 grade stainless steel, but considering that stainless steel will be chlorinated Corrosion damage, so try not to use stainless steel materials

 

2. Mechanical seal
a. If the sealed environment is between positive and negative pressure, then a 0-ring with better stability can be used. This type of sealing method can take into account many aspects;
b. Considering the convenience of installation and use, and changing with the temperature change during operation, if the barrel seal is not installed, if it is not installed, the barrel part should not be installed with static seal;
c. If the inside of the high-pressure hot water pump is equipped with a bushing, a customized movable sealing method is required. This type of method is generally used in a relatively complicated hot water pump such as a boiler;
d. If the internal pressure is stronger than 3.1 MaP, the high pressure method is required to make the sealing structure more stable, which helps to maintain the shape of the sealing surface and to fix the elastic material.
e. If the internal pressure changes with the change of positive and negative pressure, the separation method should be adopted, and placing the bushing near the sealing port is beneficial to the rotation of the impeller. If it is placed under negative pressure, it can be reversed. Installation Generally, two-way sealing is required in a high temperature water environment;
f. The method of static metal sealing cannot be used because the temperature changes caused by such methods during the flushing flow can cause damage to the sealing surface.
