Flinger's sealing principal
The oil leakage of small high-speed box-type machinery on site mainly occurs in the dynamic sealing part, that is, the dynamic seal between the shaft and the box. For example, the high-speed shaft of the reducer, the centrifugal pump, the fan shaft, etc. which all adopt the rubber skeleton oil seal spring to restrain the inner lip friction seal, because the sealing effect is determined by the smoothness of the shaft, the runout of the shaft, the degree of dust pollution of the environment, and other factors.
After running for a period of time, the friction surface will produce a moving gap, and the lubricating oil adsorbed on the shaft can flow out of the box through the gap. A lot of equipment on site has a phenomenon of leakage of lubricating oil from the shaft head. The normal operation of the equipment is based on the effective and reasonable lubrication of the bearings. If oil leakage is found, there may be oil shortage and bearing damage, and equipment accidents occur. Therefore, the operator once found oil leakage. The guarantee that can be taken during operation is to add oil to the fuel tank. When it is dynamic, the fuel tank may have an over-oil level, which increases the possibility of oil leakage. Sometimes the more leaks are formed, the more they are leaked. The company can say that 7% of these tanks have oil spills.
The consequences of oil leakage:
1. The equipment consumes energy and attention every day, and becomes a weak link in the production line, which is a hidden danger of a large equipment. However, the hidden dangers are not worthy of the shutdown and maintenance system, and it is also a major source of environmental pollution for on-site production equipment.
2. In the case of large dust in the site environment, it is easy to bring dust into the fuel tank when the cover is filled with oil. Contamination of the lubricating oil will also cause the bearing to be abnormally damaged and equipment accidents. When the bearing is damaged and the tank is shut down, a layer of sludge will appear at the bottom of the tank, which is mostly caused by the dust brought in by the oil when it is run. In summary, the oil leakage of the shaft head will cause attention to the operation, weak links in production, shorten bearing life, and equipment accidents, which is a headache.
The use of the centrifugal oil ring and the skeleton oil seal can achieve high-speed shaft dripping without leakage, completely solving the problems of the above-mentioned headache equipment, environmental pollution, shortening bearing life and the like.
Flinger structure and installation:
The inner diameter of the oil ring and the shaft are subjected to an interference fit, heated and assembled, and then tightly bundled on the shaft after cooling, in a position between the bearing and the skeleton oil seal, close to the oil seal. Usually the oil level is lower than the lower arc of the shaft. No oil leaks when static. When rotating at high speed, the oil attached to the shaft is centrifugally smashed by the oil ring to the inner wall of the end cap. After the natural drop, the oil ring and the end cap are only about half a millimeter apart. The centrifugal inertia causes the oil to drip into the gap to be Keep away from the shaft surface, which forms the mechanism of the seal.
