Disassembly and assembly procedures and operation and maintenance of wear-resistant centrifugal pumps and seals for mines

20 Apr 2021Email

Disassembly and assembly sequence of wear-resistant centrifugal pumps and seals for mines:

a. Loosen the connecting bolts between the pump cover and the pump casing. Remove the pump cover.

b. Loosen the screws between the bearing seat and the pump housing and the foot screws of the bearing seat, and then lower the pump housing.

c. Remove the impeller, loosen the screw between the impeller and the main shaft in the opposite direction of the rotation direction of the impeller when it is working, and use a special tool to rotate it on the impeller blades. (If it is an impeller with a split cap, the disassembly method is: unscrew the split cap in the reverse direction, lock the nut, and exit the impeller. This structural drawing can be obtained from the factory).

d. Then remove the pump back cover and the seal assembly in turn (turn the shaft sleeve positioning screw 20, push out the shaft sleeve), and then disassemble the seal components in turn.

The installation sequence of wear-resistant centrifugal pumps and seals for mines is opposite to that of disassembly. It should be noted that:

a. After the impeller is assembled tightly, check the gap between the impeller and the pump body. The gap is required to be 2mm

b. After installing the pump cover, check the gap between the pump cover and the impeller (looking in from the outlet). The gap should be about 2mm. For high-temperature medium pumps, the gap should be about 2.5mm.

c. If the gap between the impeller and the pump body does not meet the requirements, it can be adjusted by adding or reducing the thermal pad between the impeller and the shaft sleeve and adjusting the shaft sleeve adjustment nut.

d. If the gap between the pump cover and the impeller does not meet the requirements, it can be adjusted by adding or reducing the gasket between the pump body and the pump cover

e. Turn the coupling by hand until it runs flexibly, and then drive according to the starting steps

Maintenance of wear-resistant centrifugal pumps and seals for mines during operation:

a. Frequently check whether the external cooling system is working normally. The cooling water pump of Tonglian should check whether the cooling water supply is normal. The pump filled with cooling oil should check whether the oil level is maintained, and fill it in time if it is insufficient.

b. The operation of the pump when the outlet valve is closed is called closed pressure operation. The closed pressure operation time of all-plastic pumps or plastic-lined pumps should be shortened as much as possible. The normal temperature medium should not exceed 10 minutes, and the high temperature medium should not exceed 5 minutes

c. Keep no traces of water on the motor to prevent the motor from getting damp
