Cooling and antifreezing knowledge of high temperature circulating pump

The fluid friction between the liquid and the pump body during the operation of the pump, the rotating part and the fixed part, such as the ball of the bearing and the inner and outer rings, the shaft sleeve and the packing, will generate friction. The friction will generate heat, and the high temperature of the medium will conduct The machine pump heats the pump body. The purpose of cooling is to reduce the temperature of the pump body, pump seat, bearing box, and shaft seal, and prevent deformation, aging and damage of these parts due to temperature rise. When the temperature of the high-temperature circulating pump is greater than 100, the bearing needs to be cooled: when the temperature of the medium is greater than 150°C, the sealed cavity needs to be cooled; and when the temperature is greater than 200°C, the pump support also needs to be cooled.

What are the specific functions of the high temperature resistant circulating pump cooling water?

① Effectively reduce the temperature of the bearing

② Take away a small amount of liquid leaking from the shaft seal and conduct frictional heat

③ Cool the pump support to prevent the deviation of the concentricity of the pump and the motor due to thermal expansion

④Reduce the temperature of the stuffing box, improve the working conditions of the mechanical seal, and extend its service life

The temperature in the north will drop sharply in winter, and the water is prone to volume expansion when it is below zero. If the accumulated water in the high-temperature circulating pump body is not cleaned completely, the volume expansion of the water at low temperature will cause the pump body to burst and cause unnecessary property losses. .

The anti-freezing measures of high temperature resistant circulating pump mainly include the following:

①First drain the water in the idle pump

②Secondly, maintain a long flow of cooling water.

③Then heat the centrifugal pump or use steam or hot water to trace the heat.

④The standby pump keeps the inlet and outlet flowing.

If the centrifugal pump is found to be frozen, first it is clear that it cannot be blown directly with steam. The purpose is to prevent the pump from rupturing due to uneven thermal expansion. The correct measure should be to pour it with cold water first, and then consider using steam or hot water.
