Causes of easy damage to submersible non-clogging sewage pumps

Submersible non-clogging sewage pumps have attracted more and more attention due to their wide range of uses and strong sewage capacity. However, improper use or maintenance will cause some failures of the submersible sewage pumps. Since the submersible sewage pump works underwater, compared with other motors, the working environment is harsh.   Six reasons why submersible non-clogging sewage pumps are easily damaged:

  01 Motor rotation direction is wrong

   Before using the submersible sewage pump, make sure that the motor rotation direction is correct. Although the reverse rotation can produce water, the water output is small and the current is large. Long-term reverse rotation will cause irreversible damage to the motor windings.

  02 No leakage protector installed

The leakage protector is also called a life saver. When the leakage value of the submersible sewage pump is greater than the operating current value of the leakage protector, the leakage protector will cut off the power supply of the submersible pump to ensure equipment safety and personal safety, and avoid unnecessary electrical energy waste.

  03 Turn on when the power supply is abnormal

   The difference between the power supply voltage and the rated voltage should not exceed 10%. If the voltage is too high or too low, the temperature of the submersible sewage pump will rise. When the power supply is abnormal, it will shorten the service life or even burn the submersible sewage pump.

  04 Submersible sewage pump runs for a long time

  The submersible sewage pump uses water as the cooling source. Long-term dehydration may cause the motor to overheat and burn.

  05 Switch the machine frequently

   Frequent starting of the submersible sewage pump will affect its service life. When it stops, it will produce backflow. If it is turned on immediately, the motor load will start, resulting in excessive starting current and burning of the winding.

  06No maintenance is usually carried out

   The submersible pump will rust if it is not used continuously after it is put into the water, and it will not start. When not in use for a long time, it is best not to soak in water for a long time. It should be put in clean water and run for a few minutes to clean the mud inside and outside of the pump.

 

  How to extend the service life of submersible non-clogging sewage pump

  01 Replace the seal ring

  After long-term use in the sewage medium, the gap between the impeller and the sealing ring may increase and need to be replaced in time.

  02 Place in a ventilated and dry place

  When storing during non-use period, the pump should be lifted away from the water source in time, and the water in the pump should be drained, especially in cold winter.

  03 Regular inspection and replacement of accessories

  Cables, motor insulation and screws shall be inspected at least once a year. If they are damaged, they shall be replaced in time.

  04 Change the oil

   If water is found in the engine oil, it should be drained, and the engine oil, gasket and screw plug should be tightened.

  05 dedicated maintenance

   After the operation of the submersible sewage pump fails, do not dismantle and repair it without permission, and seek professional repairs immediately.
