Precautions for pipe connection during installation of single-stage centrifugal pump
Single-stage centrifugal pumps are also widely used in many fields. Because their cost is relatively low compared with multi-stage pumps, they play an important role in various industries, but sometimes users choose to install pipelines during installation. It has a certain influence on the performance parameters of the water pump. Changsha Zhonglian Pumps has summarized the precautions for the pipe connection of the single-stage centrifugal pump based on the feedback of the user for many years of use of the water pump, and hopes to have a certain guiding role for the user.

After the suction and delivery pipes of the centrifugal pump are connected (as far as possible), the joint surface between the centrifugal water pump and the pipeline should ensure good airtightness. There should be no possibility of trapping air on the device.
! Note: Centrifugal pump suction pipes should be installed separately for each centrifugal pump, and the single-stage centrifugal pump pipeline should be as short as possible, the number of elbows should be small, and sudden turns should be avoided. The elbows and connecting pipes should be 90° or greater. Try to be as smooth as possible, and not too close to the centrifugal pump population; the installation of the single-stage centrifugal pump suction horizontal section pipeline should be slightly downwards against the direction of the water flow to prevent air pockets, it is best to use a tapered eccentric reducer.
! Note: When installing the centrifugal pump pipeline, especially the inlet pipeline, the welding slag, rust and dirt should be removed from the pipeline. The inlet and outlet pipes of the centrifugal water pump should be fixed with brackets, and the flange of the water pump should not be broken by excessive pulling force, and the vibration of the single-stage centrifugal pump caused by the vibration of the water pump pipe should also be avoided.
Flexible joints should be installed on the inlet and outlet pipes of the water pump to reduce the impact of pipe stress on the water pump and reduce the vibration transmission between the pump and the pipe.
Centrifugal pump suction pipe: when pumping water from the pool, the length of the straight pipe section in front of the suction port of the centrifugal pump should not be less than 3 times the diameter of the inlet, and the depth of the suction pipe of the centrifugal pump into the water should be greater than 1.5 times the diameter of the inlet. Less than 500mm. The distance between the suction pipe of the pump and the pool wall should be greater than 1.5 times the diameter, and the distance from the bottom of the pool should be 1.5 times the diameter and not less than 500mm, and a filter should be installed. The total product of the filter should not be less than 2 of the area of the suction pipe. One 3 times.

Single-stage centrifugal pump discharge pipeline: The diameter of the discharge pipeline must meet the needs of the pump flow, so that the hydraulic friction loss of the pipeline will not be too large. When the drainage pipe is fixed on uneven ground, air bubbles will be generated at the high point in the pipe. At this time, it is necessary to install exhaust valves in these positions to remove any air accumulation that may affect the flow of the pump in a timely manner.
Safety measures: In order to ensure the reliable operation of the motor supporting the single-stage centrifugal pump, an overload protection device should be installed at the electrical switch.
! Warning: If the overload protection device is not installed, the motor of the centrifugal pump will be damaged due to the sudden increase of the current under certain circumstances.
