What is the difference between a cooling pump and a chilled pump?

09 Sep 2024Email

Recently, a customer wanted to purchase cooling water pumps, but when searching online, he saw that there were also frozen water pumps that looked the same as cooling water pumps, so he was not sure whether he wanted to buy cooling water pumps. Therefore, he contacted us in Changsha Zoomlian Pump Industry to consult this problem, and hoped that we could recommend the corresponding pump model according to their use needs. Xiaobian would like to introduce the difference between cooling water pumps and frozen water pumps for the majority of user friends, hoping to help you answer questions.

Cooling water pump and freezing water pump are two different pumps, their main difference is their application and working principle.

The cooling pump is mainly used to transport water from one place to another to achieve the purpose of cooling. It is usually used for cooling equipment or machinery, such as the cooling system of the automobile engine, the cooling circulation system in the air conditioning equipment, and so on. The cooling pump works by mechanically pushing the water to the specified position.

The chilled water pump is mainly used in the refrigeration system to transport the chilled water from the cooling unit to the cooling equipment. Different from the general cooling system, the refrigeration system needs to cool the low temperature refrigerant through the evaporation cycle. The role of the chilled water pump is to extract and compress the coolant from the condenser, and then transfer it to the evaporator to achieve energy transfer. The working principle of the chilled water pump is to rotate the pump through mechanical or electric drive, so as to achieve liquid transportation.

Therefore, the application and working principle of cooling water pump and frozen water pump are different, and it is necessary to choose which pump to use according to the specific actual needs.
