How to judge the positive and negative impeller of multistage centrifugal pump?

21 Oct 2023Email

Multistage centrifugal pump is a common industrial equipment, widely used in water supply, drainage, chemical, electric power and other fields. In the process of using multistage centrifugal pump, the correct installation and judgment of the impeller is very important. Multistage centrifugal pump manufacturer Changsha Zhonglian Pump industry will give you a detailed introduction to the judgment method of the impeller of the multistage centrifugal pump to help readers better understand and use this technology.

First of all, let's take a look at the basic structure of the multistage centrifugal pump. Multistage centrifugal pumps are usually composed of an inlet section, an impeller section, a diffuser section and an outlet section. Among them, the inlet section is used to guide the fluid into the pump body, the impeller section is the core part of the multistage centrifugal pump, and it is also the place where the fluid is pressurized, the diffuser section is used to expand the fluid step by step, and the outlet section is the fluid out of the pump body. In the impeller section, the assembly sequence and direction of the positive and negative impellers have a direct influence on the performance and efficiency of the multistage centrifugal pump.

For the judgment of the positive and negative impeller, it is necessary to first determine the inlet section and the outlet section. Usually, the fluid first enters the pump body from the inlet section, and then is pumped by the anti-impeller into the impeller section, after the pressure of the impeller increases, it is further pressurized by the main impeller, and finally flows out from the outlet section. Therefore, according to the flow direction of the fluid, we can determine the position of the inlet section in the front and the outlet section in the back.

Then it can be judged by the direction of the fluid, and the direction of the fluid of the forward impeller and the reverse impeller is also different. In a Multistage centrifugal pump, the fluid usually passes through the impeller from front to back. When the fluid of the forward impeller enters the impeller, it diffuses outwards from the inlet pipe, while the fluid of the reverse impeller enters the impeller from the inlet pipe. By observing the flow direction of the fluid in the impeller, it can be determined whether it is the impeller or the reverse impeller.
