Polytetrafluoroethylene, code name: PTFE or F4. Generally called "non-stick coating" or "easy clean wok material"; it is a synthetic polymer material that uses fluorine to replace all hydrogen atoms in polyethylene. This material is resistant to acids, alkalis, and various organic solvents, and is almost insoluble in all solvents. It has excellent dielectric properties, impact resistance, good water resistance, high chemical stability, operating temperature up to 80-100 ℃, good friction and cold resistance. The disadvantage is that the mechanical strength is not high, the quality is soft, and the molding shrinkage rate is large. It is used as the sheath of general cables, the structural parts of corrosion-resistant pipes, valves, and pumps. It can also be sprayed on the metal surface as a wear-resistant, anti-wear and anti-corrosion coating.
Polycarbonate, code name: PC. It has outstanding impact toughness and creep resistance, high heat resistance, and good cold resistance. The embrittlement temperature can reach -100°C. The flexural and tensile strength is equivalent to nylon, and it has a higher elongation and Modulus of elasticity, but fatigue strength is less than nylon 66, low water absorption, small shrinkage, good dimensional stability, abrasion resistance equivalent to nylon, and a certain degree of corrosion resistance. The disadvantage is that the molding conditions are more demanding. It can be used as various gears, worm gears, racks, cams, bearings, spindles, pulleys, transmission chains, nuts, washers, pump impellers, lampshades, containers, shells, covers, etc.
