Roots Vacuum Pump

INTRODUCTION 

The roots vacuum pump is equipped with two vane rotors that rotate synchronously in opposite directions. There is a variable displacement vacuum pump between the rotors and between the rotor and the inner wall of the pump casing without contact with each other. It has a structure and working principle similar to roots blower. When it is in operation, its suction port is connected to the vacuum pump or the main pump of the vacuum system.

The vacuum pump has no contact between the rotors, and between the rotor and the pump casing, and the gap is generally 0.1 to 0.8 mm. No oil lubrication is required. The speed of the roots vacuum pump can be as high as 3,450 to 4,100 rpm, the pumping rate is 30 to 10,000 liters / sec, the ultimate vacuum: single stage is 6.5 × 10-2 Pa, two-stage It is 1 x 10-3 Pa.

APPLICATION

Widely used in the vacuum dehydration of the paper, food, chemical, clothing and other industries or smoking in the cigarette industry. The suction medium may be dry, humid air or a mixture of gas and water, but the medium may not contain solid particles.
